Do You Need A Weight Loss Coach?

By April 11, 2019 No Comments

A weight loss coach is someone who can guide you through the ups and downs of getting the body you desire. Sometimes you may experience a weight loss patch where you lose a bunch of weight but then somehow it creeps back on. You just don’t feel you know how to keep it off!

A weight loss coach is great when you have basic questions for example: Can you eat carbs? When is it ok to eat them? What about protein? How much do you need to be eating? Is it bad to eat late at night? Is it ok skip breakfast in the morning?

Not only can they answer these questions for you, they can also identify what kind of exercise you should be doing, for you, not for anyone else. Too often I see clients try to train the way they see people training on Instagram. They want to look and move like the people they follow. But this is often unlikely and leaves the client feeling inadequate or disheartened.

A Weight Loss Patch

Sometimes though, everything just works! You’re feeling energized, you are exercising consistently. You’ve had a good run of making smart food choices and getting to sleep a little earlier. The results are encouraging.

But then…you plateau. Life gets in the way. You get busy with the kids. Busy with work. It happens to us all, you’re not alone! Or maybe on the flip side, your social life has picked up now that you are in the best shape of your life. Awesome! But not so awesome as you lose focus and the weight loss slows down.

What seemed like a done deal is now is now a distant memory as the weight is back! How do you stay on track?

How To Find A Weight Loss Coach

Most experienced personal trainers out there should be able to help you with both fitness and food. If they can’t, then you need to shop around. A PT can help you write a meal plan tailored to your dietary requirements. This can help you stay focused as you know you have someone keeping you accountable.

Weight Loss however is about so much more than just food and exercise. It is also about how you sleep, how you manage stress, how you breathe, how you hydrate and much much more!

If your personal trainer feels they can’t help you in some areas they can always recommend you to another qualified professional such as a doctor, dietician or naturopath to help guide you with specific medical conditions.

Getting A Weight Loss Coach For Your Wedding

Getting a weight loss coach for your wedding, is essential to keep you on track with your goals while you are on the journey to this important day. I’ve trained many brides and grooms for that matter and they always have a lot of questions. They are actually the best kind of client to train because not only are they dedicated but they are curious and willing to really learn about whats happening in their bodies.

While many don’t continue on with their rapid pre-wedding weight loss after the day is done, I like to think they learned a lot and could maybe apply it again in the future.

A weight loss coach is their to guide you especially if you feel you have gone through a patch of feeling great but then going back again. If you have plans to get married I highly encourage you to enlist the expertise of a personal trainer to help you stay focused and educated on the best way to achieve the body of your dreams.
